Our Research

At Gender Tech Initiative Uganda, research is at the heart of our work. We conduct evidence-based studies to better understand the unique challenges and opportunities that beneficiaries face in the digital world. Our research focuses on critical areas such as digital security, online gender-based violence, digital literacy gaps, STEM participation among girls, Artificial Intelligence and the impact of technology on marginalized communities.

Through our findings, we aim to;

  • Inform policy advocacy for inclusive digital rights.
  • Design programs that address real community needs.
  • Amplify the voices of structurally silenced women and girls in tech spaces.
  • Promote data-driven solutions for bridging the gender digital divide.

Our goal is not just to study the issues, but to transform insights into impact.
